BLOG - BROW WARRRIOR 101
How to Achieve Effortlessly Beautiful Brows
Let’s begin by saying that “perfect” brows don’t really exist—everyone’s natural shape is unique. But as an artist, my goal is to create the most natural, flattering brows possible. The process starts by carefully measuring each client’s face to find their brow bone, using this as a guide to enhance the natural shape.
From there, we can make subtle adjustments to refine the brow’s shape, sometimes even achieving a mini facelift effect through precise techniques. The result? Effortlessly beautiful brows that enhance your features without looking overly done.
The Consultation Process at EOC Studio, New York City
On our website, you can easily schedule a consultation. These sessions typically last 20 to 30 minutes and are conducted via FaceTime or Zoom. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and address any questions or concerns you may have about microblading, ensuring you’re fully informed and comfortable with the process.
Preparing for Your Appointment
To get the best results from your appointment, please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand, as it can thin your blood. Refrain from having caffeine the morning of your appointment as well. Dress comfortably, and bring along reference photos of the brow look you’d like. It’s also helpful to bring a brow pencil or shadow you typically use, so we can better understand your preferred color.
The Microblading Procedure
When you arrive, we’ll sit down and discuss what enhancements you’d like, whether that’s adjusting the arch, defining the tail, or choosing a fluffy versus structured look. Once we’ve established your preferences, I take precise measurements to assess your brow’s natural shape and areas where structure may be lacking. Then, I’ll sketch the shape and show it to you. We’ll agree on the final look before moving forward.
Afterward, I apply a numbing cream, which sits for about 30 minutes to keep you comfortable. Once numbing is complete, I clean the area and outline the brows with a pencil. We’ll check in to confirm you love the shape, making adjustments as needed to ensure it’s perfect.
Once we’re both 100% satisfied, I begin the microblading process itself, which is usually the quickest part. Afterward, I apply a layer of pigment and cover the brows with saran wrap for about 10 minutes to allow the color to settle. Finally, I remove the pigment, and your session is complete!
Aftercare and Healing Process
For the first 14 days, it’s essential to keep your brows dry and avoid moisture, including sweat. For 30 days, please avoid saunas, saltwater, and pools to protect your brows during healing. Many clients choose to schedule their microblading appointments during fall or late summer to minimize these restrictions.
During the healing process, your brows may appear slightly darker but will gradually lighten to their natural color within 14 to 18 days. Some areas may fade and require a touch-up, typically recommended 6 to 8 weeks after the initial session. While scabbing is normal, it varies by skin type; most clients experience minimal scabbing, but if you do, avoid picking at the area. You’ll receive an ointment to apply at home to support the healing process.
Safety and Risk Minimization
With five years of experience and multiple certifications, safety is a top priority in my services. All tools and surfaces are thoroughly sanitized, and disposable items are used to ensure a clean, hygienic environment for every client.
Frequently Asked Questions
1: How much does microblading cost?
Pricing in the beauty industry varies by artist and quality, with rates reflecting skill, experience, and results. My pricing aligns with the quality of my work and artistry—sometimes paying a bit more ensures a higher standard and long-lasting results for your brows.
2: Who is a Good Candidate for Microblading?
The ideal candidates for microblading are those with normal to moderately oily skin. For clients with very oily skin, I recommend alternative techniques, such as a combo or powder brow, which I also offer. To determine if microblading is a good fit, I typically ask for photos to assess your skin type and brow area. It’s also best to ensure the brow area is clear and free of pimples before your appointment.

SEMI- PERMANENT
DEBUNKING COMMON MYTHS
MYTH 1: SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP APPEARS UNNATURAL. In recent years, the field has advanced significantly in terms of pigments and techniques. Today, it’s all about the artist’s skill in achieving a natural brow. This involves selecting the perfect color that matches the client’s undertone, following the natural hair direction, and skillfully mimicking hair strokes. Many clients are often surprised at how few people notice they've had microblading done!
MYTH 2: THE PROCEDURES ARE EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I use two different numbing creams during the process—one applied 30 minutes beforehand and another during the procedure to ensure clients are comfortable at all times. After years of searching, I’ve found the best creams available! Most of my clients report feeling little to no discomfort, which is fantastic for me. It would be challenging to create beautiful art if a client were in pain.
MYTH 3: RESULTS ARE PERMANENT AND UNCHANGEABLE. This is a common concern. Although it’s a semi-permanent procedure, if a client decides they no longer want microblading and skips touch-ups, the brow will gradually fade over time. However, it’s important to note that this fading process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 years.
MYTH 4: YOU CAN'T WEAR MAKEUP WITH SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP. Microblading is designed to enhance your natural brows (without makeup), which actually makes it easier to apply makeup later. You can simply follow the shape that the artist has created for you. However, it's important to remember that after getting your fresh set of brows, you should avoid applying makeup on them for 14 days.
